GF Review: Crabby Jacks, Guernsey

Image 1. Click to open in original size.

Situated on Guernsey’s west coast alongside the golden stretch of Vazon Bay, Crabby Jack’s is the go-to venue for families in Guernsey who are looking for a place where the kids can let off some steam and the adults can kick back and relax owing to its play area and TVs with all the best Disney films.

Tonight I enjoyed a tasty gluten-free meal whilst enjoying Crabby Jacks tiki hut vibes. Although they do not offer a gluten-free menu or even mark GF options on the main menu, the chef and manager are more than happy to point out and discuss your options with you. Sadly, they could only offer BBQ ribs as a starter but they do provide GF pizza and pasta. Moreover,  most of their meat and fishes dishes can be altered to cater for a GF diet.

I went with the 'Guernsey scallops wrapped in bacon' and loved every bite. It was on the more expensive side at £17 but you got 7 scallops, rice and salad within the price and I feel that in the UK you'd get a lot less for your money.

As a travelling coeliac, I would definitely recommend this place!

All the best, Leia
