Dessert is often just a second thought when it comes to gluten-free and us gluten -free foodies are often left with just the one option. Just the other day I was a restaurant and the only option was GF carrot cake, where are the brownies, chocolate and cream!?
That's why I always take extra care when making dessert at home and my 'easy Eton mess' is probably one of my favourite things. All you need is...
- meringue nest (usually naturally GF but always check the label)
- Double cream to whip
- and icing-sugar to sweeten the cream
Then all you have to do is put it all the together and enjoy! It's also very appropriate given Wimbledon is soon approaching so get your strawberries and cream at the ready!
