Fancy the taste of Japan in the UK? Then you need to visit Yo! Sushi.

This year brought about a number of changes for me, living a different country, new friends and a new tastes buds! My newly found love for sushi meant I could finally check out the highly recommended Yo! Sushi.

You can find Yo! Sushi restaurants across the UK, they offer a speedy service as your food is delivered to you via a conveyor belt. I think this is what makes Yo! Sushi special, this quirky novelty never wears off and you can just take and choose food as you please. However, for us sensitive gluten-free foodies I would recommend talking to your waiter and ordering your food fresh, this helps avoids Cross-contamination and accidentally picking up a similar looking Gluten dish (the dishes on the belt aren't labelled)!

All the plates are small and are colour coded to represent the price the cheapest is lime at £2.80 and the most expensive is yellow at £6.30, so you can have as many or as little as you want! If you want more you just have to press the Help button on your table, it will then sound a comical call in Japanese to grab your waiters attention!

This time I visited the branch inside Manchester Piccadilly Train Station, the restaurant was open plan and looked over the hustle and bustle of the platforms below. The service can be as quick or as slow as you like so this was a perfect location for commuters in a rush or have time to kill during their change over. Although on their website they offer a GF menu, this branch didn't, instead, they provided me with an allergen menu. This wasn't over complicated like others I have read and I used my phone to access the online menu anyway! was brought over a small bowl of GF soy sauce and was offered a fairly extensive GF range of plates to choose from, the kitchen was also happy to adapt (if they could) any meals off the main menu to be gluten-free.  My favourite had to be the salmon hand roll and the miso soup (which comes with unlimited refills woo!!).

With great vibes, great prices and good food, you can rely on Yo! Sushi for a fab dining experience every time so I would definitely suggest you check it out. Lastly, my top-tip would be to go to their website and sign up for student discount if you're eligible, it gives you 25% off your bill!

All the best, Leia

#1 Yeah it is! I always find the texture of it really odd though, so I can't enjoy it as much!
